Check Marks for Parks Print  

The "Check Marks For Parks" utility bill program is a great opportunity to help Fort Smith's parks prosper, a few pennies at a time.

Residents and business owners who want to help improve the 23 Fort Smith city parks can now make donations on their municipal utility bills. All money collected will be dedicated to park improvements such as playground equipment and picnic areas.

Three donation options are available:

Option 1

You can choose to round up your bill to the next whole dollar. For example, if your bill is $32.69, you can round it up to $33.00. The extra 31 cents will be used for future parks projects and improvements.

Option 2

You may choose to have a fixed donation amount added to your utility bill each month. For example, you could "check off" to donate $3 a month, and that amount will be added to your municipal utility bill each month.

Option 3

You may choose to make a one-time donation for park improvements by adding the donation amount to your municipal utility bill payment. Each month, your bill wll have a space for writing in such a donation.
